Version 6 of Wininet.dll is not compatible with Authorize.net AuthNetSSLConnect.SSLPost component!
ACTION:
Using automated update applies to the SBS 2000 server Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 and Internet Explorer 6.0
RESULT:
Web sites on server began having difficulties with credit card validation with the browser displaying RPC Service not available or "The Remote Procedure call failed and did not execute"
CAUSE:
The third party credit card validation service makes calls to the file WinInet.dll which was updated by Internet Explorer 6.0 resulting in an access denied situation.
RESOLUTION:
Replaced updated WinInet.dll with version from Windows 2000 Service
Pack 3 (version 5 of wininet.dll)
